About Me
Hi I'm Dannica
I’ve been going back and forth now for two years about starting a blog. It all started fall of 2020 as I flipped through the catalog of courses for the spring semester- the final semester of my educational career, the end of my Masters, the end of an era. Who was I going to be, and what was I going to do now that my entire identity no longer revolved around being a student. It was as if the only ~thing I knew I was good at was being a student. So what skill did I finetune more than any other as a student? Well aside from procrastinating… writing. I love to write- especially when I’m not being forced to write about something like 18th century Spanish theater (sorry Dr. Robinson). In a way, college made me develop a dislike for writing, which can largely be attributed to being pushed to write about topics I have absolutely no interest in, but what I realized was, even outside of my school work, writing took up more of my ‘me’ time than I had realized. I write on all occasions: when I’m mad, when I’m sad, when I’m happy, when I need to vent, when I have no idea what to say, but somehow letting the words out on paper opens up this flow that at times seems impossible to achieve by opening my mouth. Writing in my journal has been such a deep form of therapy and source of personal growth, but I started to ask myself the question- why am I only writing for myself. If I’m going to be writing anyways, why not put it out there for others to see and to hopefully gain something useful from. If no one else ends up reading this other than my two younger sisters- at least I’ve fulfilled my big sisterly duties by giving them some life advice.

So what's this blog all about?
Learning travel tips for your next big trip, figuring out how to maximize both your physical and mental health, and growing as an individual as you discover yourself more each day in this beautiful life you’ve been given. I’m glad to have you along for the ride.
